GA-based Arglass raised over $230million in funding. The company plans to use the money to construct a second furnace on its Valdosta, Georgia, campus. To pay for the building, Arglass obtained loans and structured equity. The supporters were kept a secret.

José de Diego Arozamena said: “Glass is already the most sustainable, recyclable and healthy packaging material, and the only packaging material classified as ‘generally recognized as safe’ by the FDA. I am incredibly proud to be leading the industry to new heights in sustainability.”
The new facility is anticipated to be finished in Q2 2025 and have the capacity to produce more than 350 million sustainable glass containers yearly. Glass cullet from post-consumer products will be supplied by the recycling facility and used to make new containers.

Arglass also uses its unique Arglass Biogenic® glass composition to make glass, which substitutes a naturally renewing, carbon-negative biogenic component that is gently harvested from the ocean for material that is normally mined.
