Advocacy Raises $3.5M in Seed Funding

Mar 9, 2026 | By Startuprise io

Advocacy, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an AI-native, context-driven litigation workspace platform, has raised $3.5 million in a Seed funding round led by Relentless.

The round also saw participation from Relativity, as well as Am Law 100 firm Fenwick & West LLP, legal scholars from T14 (Top 14) law schools, and a consortium of partners ranging from Big Law firms to practice-specific litigation boutiques.

The company plans to use the funds to grow its product and engineering teams, strengthen strategic partnerships like its work with Relativity, and expand its overall team.

Advocacy, an AI-powered, context-focused litigation workspace, has expanded its proprietary memory layer to cover all areas of litigation work. It can now easily ingest, process, and organize new types of evidence, like raw audio and video, into a centralized case timeline, instantly improving context across all connected documents, and workflows.

The funding comes as more litigators—at plaintiff and defense firms, litigation boutiques, and Am Law 100 and 200 firms—seek a secure, case-focused AI solution that goes beyond basic drafting and review. After a period of private research and development with top practitioners, Advocacy is now live with paying clients and running active pilot programs with leading law firms.

In the past, litigation facts and context were spread across separate systems like e-discovery tools, legal research platforms, and even in lawyers’ minds. Advocacy centralizes this information in a case memory platform that supports research, drafting, analysis and strategy throughout a case. By moving from keyword searches to context-driven organization, the platform captures and arranges key case information, letting teams work within a unified, continuously updated digital workspace.

Téo Doremus, CEO and co-founder of Advocacy, said, “AI can help with specific tasks, but litigation requires continuity and context. Teams need more than standalone tools—they need memory-driven systems that understand their cases as deeply as they do. We’ve proven this approach with top litigators, and this funding lets us expand it to the wider market.”

Damir Becirovic, founding partner at Relentless, said, “In litigation, an AI mistake can ruin a career. That’s why the overhyped tools are failing while Advocacy is succeeding. They’ve solved the accuracy problem and earned the trust of top trial lawyers by delivering flawless context. We’re excited to provide capital and support to help more litigators start using their platform.”

Advocacy will be at Legalweek New York from March 9–12, 2026, meeting with firm leaders and litigation teams interested in AI. The company was also recently named a finalist for the Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards in the Litigation Technology category.
